BCS Museum & Historical Collection
The Society has a large historical collection which comprises three main categories; Library, Museum and Archives.
As we find ourselves in the midst of a global pandemic, it is timely to reflect on how developments in medicine and surgery are often driven by the need to understand new disease. Remarkable progress has been achieved, even in the face of deficiencies in manpower and resources, by international collaboration, integration of technological advances and research. This is due in part to the leadership, teaching and traditions that have been passed down by the greats of this speciality.
