Kashan Ali

I am a West Midlands cardiology trainee. I graduated from the Khyber Medical University in 2010 with first-class honours and an academic prize. I have since worked in Pakistan, Slough, East Yorkshire, and West Midlands. I recently completed a period of research at University of Dundee. My research was to evaluate the role of plasma desmosine as a novel biomarker of atherosclerosis and plaque instabiltiy. During my research period, I was also a sub-investigator in clinical trials investigating the management and prevention of coronary artery disease. Currently I am an ST6 trainee, and my sub-specialty is Interventional Cardiology.
