Our new patron for BCS100 – Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal

We are delighted to announce our Patron for our anniversary year – Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal. Known as one of the hardest working members of the Royal Family, The Princess Royal has longstanding experience of working with health and care related charities and organisations, so Her Royal Highness will be an ideal Patron for us as we demonstrate the improvements to patient care led by society members over the years. We greatly appreciate The Princess Royal’s interest in our specialty and will be inviting Her Royal Highness to the key events in our centenary year to meet a broad spectrum of health professionals and patients representatives.

Our centenary year

The centenary gives us the opportunity not only to celebrate the history of our society and the contribution of UK cardiology to global cardiovascular care, but also to look to the future, showcasing the developments that will transform our specialty in the coming decades. We’ll release our centenary programme in the New Year, but highlights will include our annual conference which will have a truly global flavour, a new series of centenary lectures, and a special edition of Heart.
